Many of Jakarta’s city parks are gorgeous, and most of them are modern too. However, we present five of the best city parks in Jakarta, which we believe are easy to access and could be enjoyed spontaneously at any time. Furthermore, these parks are very comfortable and beautiful. Here are our reviews:
1. Bendera Pusaka City Park, Kebayoran Baru

This city park is one of the newest. Inaugurated on March 13, 2026, and offers easy access for people anywhere in Jakarta. It is easily accessible by MRT, LRT, or TransJakarta heading up to the Blok M area in South Jakarta. Precisely located on Jl. Langsat, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta. The parks approximately 5.6-hectare and its result of the integration from three previously separate city parks: Ayodya Park, Leuser Park, and Langsat Park.
Public facilities include a 1.2-kilometer jogging track, an open-air amphitheater, and a multi-function court for sports like basketball, tennis, and badminton. There’s also a padel court for free-admission. Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) area is also provided to support entrepreneurs and visitors. During your visit, you can also enjoy the selection of local products.
The park’s design concept draws inspiration from the philosophy of the Indonesian flag, the red and white colors. The park is divided into a red zone and a white zone. The red zone designed as an active and dynamic space for various activities. The white zone, meanwhile, creates a calmer and more reflective atmosphere. The two areas are connected by pedestrian paths, bridges, and open spaces, creating a unified feel.
The park’s signature feature is a large statue of Fatmawati Soekarnoputri sewing a sacred flag. Fatmawati, the wife of Indonesia’s first President, Ir. Soekarno, was instrumental in sewing the red and white flag during Indonesia’s independence. We believe this statue is both beautiful and of high artistic value. The park is also enriched with a diverse range of 12 plant species, including 285 trees. Some of these are rare plants, such as menteng, ebony, cempaka, and kecapi trees. The park also features a reading room, meeting room, and parking area. This city parks open 24 hours a day and equipped with CCTV surveillance.
2. Eco City Park, Tebet

Tebet Eco Park is a revitalization of two adjacent old parks. It reopened on April 23, 2022. Located on Jl. Tebet Barat Raya, South Jakarta, and is easily accessible by public transportation from anywhere. This 7.3-hectare eco-friendly park promotes ecological and educational tourism. The park is equipped with nine convenient facilities: the Eco Park Plaza, Thematic Garden, Infinity Link Bridge, Community Lawn, Children’s Playground, Wetland Boardwalk, Forest Buffer, Community Garden, and Jogging Track.
Let us explain each one in turn.
a. Eco Park Plaza: The area located at the main entrance of the park. Offers an open natural landscape with green trees and a calm river. Within the area, there are various shared facilities, such as an information desk, restrooms, and a moslem-prayer room. A variety of flowers and plants can also be found for sale near the Plaza. There is also a small and medium enterprise (SME) area located nearby.
b. Thematic Garden: This is an area picnic, and social located in the center of the park. Allowing you to enjoy the open green space filled with shady trees and lush grass. This area also features a Pet Park, featuring two play areas for your pets, such as dogs and cats. Art installations featuring otters, ants, dragonflies, and squirrels add to the attraction. Many aromatic and flowering plants are also found, making it a great selfie spot.
c. Infinity Link Bridge: This iconic spot is a bridge connecting two former parks, built after the revitalization. At night, the 6-meter-high bridge is illuminated with colorful lights. This favorite spot for leisurely strolls is complemented by towering trees that add shade along the bridge.
d. Community Lawn: This area offers a picnic spot for anyone among the other beautiful areas. This spot is a grassy mound surrounded by Bauhinia purpurea trees or butterfly flowers. It’s perfect for mini outdoor activities, family gatherings, or simply sitting and relaxing while enjoying the natural shade.
e. Children’s Playground: a great place to bond with your child.
f. Wetland Boardwalk: This area is a vital ecological asset for Tebet Eco Park, consisting of a swamp wetland. This zone is also designed to improve water quality and control flooding. Don’t hesitate to introduce your children to the various plants and animals that live around the swamp.
g. Forest Buffer: An educational area for children about tree species. You can get acquainted with Alstonia scholaris, Spathodea campanu, hibiscus, and Eucalyptus deglupta.
h. Community Garden: This area can be used by the local community, school children activities, and the general public for educational activity on gardening and plant seeds.
i. Jogging Track: The running track is 1,734 meters long and equipped with CCTV cameras.

3. Menteng City Park

Menteng Park, as its name, located in the Menteng area at the heart of Jakarta’s capital city. It is an elite residential area with significant historical significance. The park covers 2.9 hectares and boasts 30 different plant species. Convenient and free facilities are available for activities, including a children’s playground, jogging track, futsal court, basketball court, and a small bookhive. It also features a parking area, a place of worship, restrooms, and beautiful garden benches. Another distinctive feature of this city park is its iconic Greenhouse, a popular photo spot for people.
This park is easily accessible due to its proximity to Jakarta’s central business district on Jl. Thamrin-Sudirman. Formerly the Menteng football stadium, the park is now a favorite spot for people to unwind in the city center. 4. Suropati City Park, Menteng

Suropati Park is a great historical value and was known as Burgemeester Bisschopplein (Mayor Bischop’s Square) during the colonial era. Originally named after the first mayor of Batavia, G.J. Bisshop (1916–1920), the park was the center of the Menteng area, situated at the intersection of three main roads: Menteng Boulevard (Teuku Umar street), Orange Boulevard (Diponegoro street), and Nassau Boulevard (Imam Bonjol street).
It’s known as Suropati Park (named after Indonesian national hero Untung Suropati, who fought against the Dutch East India Company), the square replaced the large circular square previously planned in 1920. Considered the “ground zero” of the Republic of Indonesia, Suropati Park is now a shady park frequently used by residents for relaxation, community activities, and sports. Since 2011, Suropati Park has been decorated with statues by sculptors from the founding members of ASEAN.
5. Lapangan Banteng City Park

Park Lapangan Banteng in Central Jakarta is a modern, Instagrammable, and free green public space for everyone. Key activities here include the Dancing Fountain show, jogging, cycling, relaxing in the shady park, visiting the West Irian Liberation Monument, and participating in various culinary and cultural festivals.
